Accessibility Statement
Effective date: September 5, 2026
Innovation Nexus LLC builds websites and dashboards for local government, so accessibility is not decoration for us. This statement covers innovationnexus.com and explains the standard we hold our own site to, how we test it, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.
Our target standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the same bar the Americans with Disabilities Act Title II rule sets for state and local government web content, and it aligns with Section 508 for federally funded work.
How we test
- Automated accessibility checks run against page templates in our test suite on every change.
- Automated performance and accessibility budgets run against the built site.
- Manual keyboard only checks on navigation, forms, and interactive components.
- Semantic HTML, visible focus states, descriptive link text, and text alternatives for images.
- Colour contrast checked against the AA thresholds for text and interface components.
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard and some parts do not yet. We have not commissioned an independent third party audit of this site, and we will say so plainly here if and when we do.
Known limitations
- Some older blog images may have thin alternative text. We are rewriting them as articles are revised.
- Charts and dashboard previews convey information visually. Where that happens we aim to give the same information in text nearby, and there may be pages where we have not finished.
- Content embedded from third parties, including social profiles and mapping, is outside our direct control and may not meet AA.
- Older PDF and document downloads may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide an accessible version.
Accessibility in the work we deliver
For client projects, particularly municipal websites and Civic Dashboard, we design and build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the default, and we can document conformance for procurement, including an accessibility conformance report. If your entity is subject to the ADA Title II web rule or Section 508, tell us during scoping and we will build the evidence trail you will need, rather than bolting it on later.
Tell us about a problem
If any part of this site blocks you, we want to hear about it, and we would rather hear about it early than never. Email sales@innovationnexus.com or call 1.843.687.1968. Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.
- We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days.
- We aim to give you a fix or a dated plan within 10 business days.
- If content is not usable for you, ask and we will supply the same information in another format, at no cost to you.
If our response does not resolve the issue, write to Innovation Nexus LLC, 2603 Lakeview Dr., Florence, SC 29505, and we will escalate it to the principal.
Technical detail
The site is built with semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and it is prerendered so that every public page has real content in the initial HTML rather than only after scripts run. It is designed to work with current versions of major browsers together with a current screen reader, and to remain readable when text is enlarged to 200 percent.
